In the review meeting of the Disaster Management department, Principal Secretary Vyas Jee said the Monsoon, which was expected to hit Bihar on June 10, has instead hit on June 22, according to an official statement.
He said when the country was set to witness 88 per cent rainfall this year, Bihar would witness even lesser rainfall during the period.
Vyas Jee said in view of impending condition of drought, regular meetings of the Emergency management committee was held on every Friday and instructions were given to different departments to overcome the crisis.
The CM instructed all departments concerned to make preparations to deal with the drought like situation in view of the delayed Monsoon.
