The political thriller stars Bachchan as a social activist, Ajay Devgn as an aspiring politician, Kareena Kapoor as a journalist, Manoj Bajpai as a politician.
"Anna Hazare's movement mobilised common people. In my film, the movement and its logic is completely different. I'm not trying to be judgemental about Anna Hazare's movement and I don't want anyone to be judgmental about my film," Jha said in a statement.
"Any suspicion linking with Hazare's movement is uncalled for. But there is nothing I can do about that," he added.
