Noted photo journalist Virendra Prabhakar passes away

Noted photo journalist Virendra Prabhakar today passed away following a cardiac arrest here.
He was 84.
Prabhakar, father of DDCA Joint Secretary Ravi Jain, was awarded the Padmashree in 1982 for his contribution to photography.
His work, which started way back in 1947, was well admired and widely published. He was also the Secretary of the Chitrakala Sangam.
The Citation of 'Limca Book of Records', categorically, accepted him as the 'longest spell working Press Photo Journalist' and 14,458 published news photos takes by him alone to his credit.
