Congress party's student wing NSUI today used the occasion of April Fools' Day to protest against the BJP-led government, accusing it of having fooled people by luring them to vote on the basis of false promises.
"The demonstration at Jantar Mantar today was to protest against the BJP government which fooled people by luring them to vote for the party on the basis of false promises," NSUI spokesperson Amrish Ranjan Pandey said.
None of the promises be it on Jan Dhan Yojana, blackmoney or creation of world-class educational institutions have been fulfilled, he added.
