NWR earns Rs21.37 crore from ticket-less travellers in 2013-14

North-West Railways has earned Rs 21.37 crore as fine and additional fare charge from ticket-less travellers in the fiscal year of 2013-14, an official said today.
It was about 24.1 per cent more than the fiscal year 2012-13 when NWR had earned Rs 17.21 crore, quoting official data its PRO said here.
NWR detected about 5.83 lakh cases of ticket-less travellers and un-booked luggage of passengers in 2013-14 as compared to 4.92 lakh cases in the last fiscal year (2012-13), which was 18.5 per cent more.
NWR also trying to make passenger aware of their fare and other liabilities while travelling in trains.
