Heat wave condition continues in Raj

Heat wave conditions today continued in parts of Rajasthan with Barmer recording a maximum of 43.1 degrees Celsius followed by Kota which sizzled at 42.4 degrees C.
Churu and Chittorgarh recorded 41.6 degrees Celsius whereas Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer and Ganganagar recorded day temperature of 41.2, 40.1, 39.5 and 39.4 degrees Celsius, according to MeT department here.
Light rainfalls also occurred at isolated places in Jaipur, Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions but there was no respite from the scorching heat.
The weather would be mainly dry in the state during next 24 hours, a MeT office forecast said.
