At least 46 houses were gutted yesterday after fire ripped through the south Kashmir's village, 100 kms from here.
Omar visited the village to know the magnitude of damage to the properties and the status of help being provided by the district administration, an official spokesman said.
The district administration yesterday distributed cash relief of Rs 10,000 to each family from Red Cross Fund and assured another Rs 40,000 to each at an earliest.
They would be provided free ration for two months, the spokesman said.
