The police said Sayeed Jamal (20) died on the spot when the driver, who was drunk, lost control and the vehicle turned turtle on the side of the road.
Five friends were travelled in the vehicle from Banarhat to Siliguri, sources said.
The injured people, which included the doctor, was rushed to a local hospital and North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
