The mishap took place when the private bus from Bhawanipatna to Gopinathpur lost control while negotiating a sharp curve on the hilly road and overturned, police said.
According to preliminary reports reaching here, one person died and 50 passengers were injured in the mishap, they said adding the condition of 17 persons was stated to be critical.
