The deceased has been identified as Maturam Meghwal (55), police said.
The clash was an outcome of an old enmity over a love marriage between the victim's niece with a boy hailing from Jat community in 2012, who was later found murdered, police said.
Trouble started this morning at Kherubadi village when the boy's family tried to get the girl married to his younger brother, to which the girls family objected, leading to the clash between the two sides.
No FIR has been registered so far in this regard. The body has been sent for autopsy. Additional security forces have been deployed in the village in view of the tension in the wake of the incident, police said.
