The cases, including 47 which were pending since the past 15 to 20 years, were decided at the District Level Coordination-cum-Screening Committee (DLCSC) which met today under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner, Rajouri, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, an official spokesman said.
He said the meeting, which was attended by senior police, Army and paramilitary officers, decided 56 cases related to militancy, violence and cross-border firing by Pakistan.
Eight special police officers, who attained martyrdom in separate incidents between 1998 to 2009, were among those whose cases were settled, the spokesman said.
He added that the cases of four persons injured during the shelling since last year were also settled.
The spokesman said that government jobs were given to one family member each of four persons, including three women, who were killed in militancy related incidents between 2005 and 2016.
Cash compensation in lieu of employment was approved in the case of five persons, including two women, who lost their lives between 2013 and 2015, he said.
