Over three dozen suspected militants arrested in Pakistan

According to officials, two terrorists were arrested from Badami Bagh area of Lahore when intelligence operatives and police raided a house.

Four suicide jackets and explosives were recovered from the two men aged between 20 and 25 years.

At Sargodha, located 200 km from Lahore, law enforcement agencies arrested over three dozen activists of the Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan.

District police chief Muhammad Rizwan told a news conference that "five terrorists" from a banned group had been arrested.

He said they were planning to target Shia processions.

However, another senior officer told PTI that over three dozen activists of Sipah-e-Sahaba had been arrested.

He said explosives and weapons had been seized from them.

They were taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation, he said.
