Following an arrest warrant issued by a Saket court in New Delhi, a team of Delhi Police and Kolkata Police in civil dress apprehended Roy from the city's central business district this afternoon, a senior police officer said.
A city court later granted a six-day transit remand till September 16 to Delhi Police for Roy after rejecting his bail plea.
Roy has been accused under Section 120(B) (punishment of criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of Indian Penal Code.
