Owner of private school held for sexually abusing students

Guardians and parents of students of a private school here today ransacked the institute after its owner was arrested for sexually abusing some girl students, police said.
A complaint was lodged with the police on November 9 alleging that Sushanata Kumar Dey, owner of the private school in Murshidabad district, had sexually abused some girl students of the institute.
Based on the complaint, police arrested Dey, who was absconding after the complaint was lodged against him from the Khagra area of the district yesterday, the police said.
After the news of Dey's arrest became public, angry guardians, parents and local people today entered the school and ransacked it, police said.

Many students who used to stay in the school hostel have also left the hostel after their parents took them away, the sources added.
