Padmapriya, who made her debut in Malayalam film "Kaazhcha", has done over 48 films across South Indian languages, including one each in Hindi and Bengali, her media manager said in a statement.
A recipient of National special jury award, two time Kerala State Award, Tamil Nadu State award and a three time Filmfare Award winner, she married her long time friend Jasmine Shah hailing from Gujarat, in Mumbai today.
She met Shah in New York when both were pursuing their Masters from Columbia and New York University respectively, it said.
Padmapriya would continue to act in films post marriage, the release said.
Her last film was Malayalam movie 'Iyoobinte Pusthakam'.
