Pakistan's army chief General Raheel Sharif has endorsed the death sentences of seven "hardcore terrorists" convicted by special military courts for committing heinous offences against innocent civilians and armed forces personnel.
The militants belong to various terrorist groups, including the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Army said that they were involved in "committing heinous offences against innocent civilians and personnel of the Pakistan armed forces."
The convicted militants were also involved in sectarian killings in the country.
Army said that they were also charged for having explosives and firearms.
They were tried by the special military courts set up after the Peshawar school attack of December 2014.
Last month, the army chief had approved death sentences of 11 'hardcore terrorists' accused of militancy in the country.
