The villagers were rushed to the Patangsha Kutir Rugnalaya in Jawahar two days ago after they complained of vomiting, giddiness and other complications, Dr Sanjeev Kamble, Deputy Director of Health Services Mumbai division, who is presently touring the rural regions of the newly formed Palghar district, said today.
The condition of the villagers, who are undergoing treatment in now stable, he said.
According to Kamble, most of the patients from the tribal-dominated village have been consuming polluted water from the pits.
A ten-year-old boy Balu Laxman Wad died a few days back while being shifted to Jawhar hospital after his condition deteriorated while undergoing treatment at the village for drinking dirty water.
