Body of a 32-year-old man, who was a close aide to a panchayat election candidate and had gone missing since Wednesday, was found from a drain here today, police said.
Anuj Tyagi, who hailed from Vidurnagar in the district, was a close aide of district panchayat election candidate Subhash alias Babloo, police said.
Anuj was actively engaged in Subhash's campaign and he had gone missing on October 7, according to his relatives.
After the conclusion of poll in Mohammadpur Deomal block yesterday, Subhash filed a police complaint alleging his rival of kidnapping Anuj, police said.
