The All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) of Kashmiri Pandits today accused the Jammu and Kashmir government as well as the Centre of ignoring their plight and "blamed" them for the death of a protesting member of the community.
"The state and the Centre are ignoring our plight. A young employee from the community, Rakesh Kumar, has fallen victim to this callous attitude. He could not get timely medical attention after suffering a heart attack as he was not paid his salary," APMCC national spokesman King Bharti said here.
He said the incident has shocked the entire community and brought to the fore the "callous" attitude of the state and the Centre who are not addressing the problems of the agitating Kashmiri Pandits who were employed in the Valley and not releasing their salaries for the last two months.
Bharti said it was shocking that despite the tragedy, the governments are "refusing to wake up" and address the issues raised by them.
