Speaking at the closing ceremony of the annual State Police Duty Meet here, Patnaik exhorted participants to use the professional knowledge gained from the Meet to the benefit of the people.
"Successful investigation of crime is one of the most important responsibilities of the police," Patnaik, who is also the state home minister and has been attending the Odisha Police's annual meet regularly for the past one and half decade, said.
Giving away prizes to the winners of the three-day Meet, Patnaik also released a compendium of cyber crimes in the state published by the crime branch police.
