Ruchi Soya's creditor files winding up petition in Bombay HC

Edible oil firm Ruchi Soya Industries today said that one of its creditors has filed winding up petition before the Bombay High Court.
In a filing to the BSE, Ruchi Soya informed that "it has been served with a copy of winding up petition filed by one of its creditors before High Court of Bombay. The company will take appropriate legal recourse in the matter."
The company did not name the creditor.
Earlier this month, Ruchi Soya Industries has posted a sharp fall in its net profit at Rs 1.03 crore during the first quarter of the 2016-17 fiscal on poor sales. Its net profit stood at Rs 88.60 crore in the year-ago period.
Net income declined to Rs 5,001.51 crore in the Apil-June quarter from Rs 6,082.65 crore in the same period a year ago.
