With this win, Pawar took his head-to-head count against Yuhan to 2-0. He had beaten him at the 2010 Dutch Grand Prix.
In women's singles, Saili saw off third seed Linda Zetchiri of Bulgaria 21-18 21-11 to set up a clash with second seed Beatriz Corrales in the semifinals at the Emirates Arena.
