This toll-free number (1800-1800-1000) will be open for 12 hours from 8 AM to 8 PM and will be operated by the bureau's headquarters, Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, B K Uppal, said.
Corruption by public servants will not be tolerated and complaints can be lodged at this toll free number, he said.
Anyone can call on this number to complain against a public servant demanding illegal gratification in cash or kind for performing any legitimate official work, Uppal said.
The bureau can also be informed about public servants misusing official position, misappropriating government funds or causing loss to the state exchequer on this number, he said.
