PCC requests Rahul to persuade Centre to enforce loan waiver

Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee today presented a memorandum to party vice president Rahul Gandhi urging him to impress upon the Centre the need to declare waiver of farm loans due from farmers to banks as they were hit severely by torrential rains.
PCC president A Namassivayam handed over the memorandum to Rahul Gandhi who was here on a visit to various rain hit pockets.
He had requested the AICC vice president to persuade the Centre to ensure that a Central assistance of Rs 400 crores was released to Puducherry to manage the situation arising out of havoc.
