The request for qualification (RFQ) or technical bids for the 765-kv System Strengthening Scheme will be opened on February 11, 2016, as per the tender notice issued by PFC Consulting Ltd.
The project will be auctioned through the tariff-based competitive bidding. That means the bidder quoting lowest tariff will be awarded the project.
The project includes establishment of 765/400 kv, 2X1500 MVA sub-station at Medinipur and setting up of 765/400 kv, 2x1500 MVA sub-stations at Jeerat.
The project will be awarded under the build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis. The successful bidder on the basis of RFQ will submit financial bids (Request for Proposal) to participate in the final round of auction.
PFC Consulting Ltd, which is handling the auction of this project, is a subsidiary of the Power Finance Corporation.
