PGTI Ahmedabad Masters to tee off tomorrow

Gaganjeet Bhullar, SSP Chawrasia, and Rashid Khan are among some of the top names who will be competing in the second edition of PGTI Ahmedabad Masters starting tomorrow.
Himmat Singh Rai, Rahil Gangjee, Mithun Perera and Chikkarangappa are the other attractions as well as 2014 Rolex Rankings champion Shankar Das.
The fifth tournament of the 2015 PGTI season, carrying a prize purse of Rs. 40 lakh, will be played at the Kalhaar Blues & Greens golf course, one of India's premier championship courses. The Pro-Am event will be played on April 4.
The other prominent names are current Rolex Rankings leader Mukesh Kumar, Chiragh Kumar, Om Prakash Chouhan and Harendra Gupta.
The leading foreign players in the field are Sri Lankans Mithun Perera, N Thangaraja, Anura Rohana and K Prabagaran as well as Australian Kunal Bhasin and Bangladesh's Md Zamal Hossain Mollah.
In a bid to encourage local participation and raise the bar of their game, Kalhaar Blues and Greens has nominated city-based amateur golfers Anshul Patel, Varun Parikh and Jay Pandya to pose a stiff challenge.
