"In over his 27-year career in the US Foreign Service, Consul General Min has served in South America, Europe, East Asia, and South Asia including posts in Brazil, Poland, Korea, Japan, Colombia, and Pakistan," a press release from the office of the US Consulate General said here.
"This is an exciting time to arrive in South India and for US-India relations as we explore together new opportunities to deepen and broaden our strategic partnership," Min said.
Stating that he was "thrilled to return to South Asia," Min said he was looking forward to "exploring the rich cultural diversity of the people of South India."
Min's predecessor was Jennifer McIntyre who had a three year stint here.
