Pilot killed in Bareilly Army helicopter crash cremated

The body of 29-year-old Army officer Pilot Major Abhijit Thapa, who died when a helicopter of the force crashed in Bareilly earlier this week, was today cremated here, his native place.
A native of Ramnagar in Dharamsala, Thapa's body was brought here today.
Thapa of the Jat Regiment and two other officers died on October 1 when a Cheetah helicopter of the Army crashed moments after taking off from an airbase in Cantt area of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh Minister Sudhir Sharma paid tributes to Thapa by placing a wreath on his body.
