PMT scam accused sent to judicial custody until October 30

A local court sent the seven persons arrested in connection with the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam here today to judicial custody till October 30.
Santosh, Gendalal, Tejram, Zia-ul-Haq, Faisal, Ganesh and Rajkumarm who were arrested by the Madhya Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF), were produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Manoj Kumar Ladiya who sent them to jail under judicial custody till October 30, police sources said.
The Indore police busted two gangs involved in the PMT scam and later arrested 30 persons including Professional Examination Board's Examination Controller Pankaj Trivedi and three other officials.
All the four officers had allegedly connived with these two gangs involved in the scam.
By using unfair means, the gang ensured admission of candidates in return for hefty amounts in different medical colleges of the state.
