Police foil dacoity bid in Odisha

With the arrest of four members of a gang, police today claimed to have foiled a dacoity bid in Odisha's Ganjam district.
A Mauser, two rounds of ammunition, three crude bombs and a motorcycle were seized from the gang members arrested from Dhunkapada in Polasara area.
"They were nabbed while plotting a dacoity," said Inspector In-Charge (IIC) of of Polasara police station Tapaswni Kanhar.
Police identified them as B Santosh Rao, Ajit Nayak, Chandan Patra and Mithun Parida.
"At least 20 cases are pending against Santosh and six against Ajit," the IIC added.
