Police give 2000 helmets to two wheeler riders

As many as 2000 helmets were distributed free of cost to two-wheeler riders here today by police as part of the Road Safety Week celebrations.
Inaugurating the safety week celebrations, Director General of Police Ashok Kumar gave away helmets on Poonamallee Road here to riders who were found without a helmet.
The top police official spoke on the importance of wearing helmets and the safety it provides.
Similarly, senior police officials distributed helmets in 19 other points in the city.
Totally, 2000 helmets were distributed as part of the 26th Safety Week Celebrations.
