The businessman from Batnavelli village withdrew Rs 20 lakh from a bank in Amalapuram and took his money in a bag. As he was coming out of the bank, four unidentified people snatched his bag and fled away in a car towards Katrakona, the police said.
Some people who witnessed the incident chased the gang in their vehicles, the police said.
Later, the police managed to intercept the gang, taking three of them into custody. The driver of car, however, escaped.
