The two personnel manning the pickets -- Devnarain and Santosh -- landed into an altercation with Chandrashekar, Somvari and one more person of Chiraia village following a drinking session inside the picket, police said.
The three locals then torched the hay roof structure.
Additional Superintendent of Police Jagdeep Singh today sent Devnarain and Santosh to the police lines on grounds of misbehaviour and bad conduct.
A case has been registered against the trio for damaging the police picket, he said.
