Police seize huge quantity of adulterated mawa, arrest six

Ahead of Diwali, Delhi Police today seized a huge quantity of adulterated mawa and arrested six persons in connection with the case.
In a joint operation with district administration, outer Delhi district police raided a house in Pooth Kalan area on a secret information and seized 1,000 kg of adulterated mawa.
Dinesh and Brijesh under whose supervision adulterated mawa was being prepared have been arrested.
The other four persons arrested during the operation are Ashok, Ajay, Arvind Kumar and Rampur.
DCP (Outer District) M N Tiwari said that the preparation of mawa was being done in a very unhygienic and unhealthy condition. Prepared Mawa was smelling stinky.

"The premise was totally unhygienic, being hazardous to the health and precious lives of human beings. The festival of Diwali and high demands of sweets are serious points of concern due to such adulterated and substandard products," Tiwari said.
The Doda Barfi and kalakand were being prepared with the help of synthetic milk, Suzi, cheap Oil, harmful Colours, police said.
