With this total 106 trains proposed in the Rail Budget were launched in the current fiscal, Prabhu said, adding train is the preferred mode of transportation for every section of the society including the poor.
He said all these trains were introduced because there was demand from people from these areas.
"We always try to accommodate demands for new trains from people across the country. It is a challenging task to accept everyone's demand," he said.
All these services are part of Rail Budget announcements.
Earlier, the Railway Minister had flagged off eight trains on February 9 and three more yesterday.
