President to deliver first Bhairo Singh Shekhawat lecture

President Pranab Mukherjee will deliver the first memorial lecture in honour of late former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat here on May 15 on his death anniversary.
Mukherjee will also give the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat lifetime achievement honour to the Chief Minister of Sikkim Pawan Kumar Chamling for his contribution to society.
To review the preparations of the President's visit, Chief secretary O P Meena held a meeting and gave necessary directions to officials.
Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi, organiser of the event, said that it is the first oration to commemorate the death anniversary of Shekhawat.
Shekhawat died on May 15, 2010 of cardiac arrest here.
