Prices of tur, urad dal fall

After a period of lull in the previous week, when prices of all major commodities ruled steady, prices of tur and urad dals moved down at the wholesale foodgrains market here in the week ended today.
Remaining unchanged in the first four days of the week, tur dal declined by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 10,700 today from its previous closing rate of Rs 11,200.
Similarly, urad dal too shed Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 10,200 compared to the previous week's closing of Rs 10,500.
Moong dal (Rs 7,200), gram dal (Rs 11,800), sugar (Rs 3,900), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kg) (Rs 2,700) and sooji (Rs 3,400) ruled steady for the second straight week.
