Prohibitory orders imposed along Jammu Srinagar NH in Ramban

Authorities today imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 along Jammu Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district in the wake of protests, prohibiting the assembly of four or more people.
District Magistrate Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz today imposed Section 144 on National Highway in Ramban district following protests and slogan raised bypeople on the highway leading to blockade of vehicular movement and creating hardships for public, an official said.
The Senior Superintendent of Police is executing the order which shall remain in force till February 15, 2017.
The order puts restrictions on assembly of four or more persons on the highway who intend to hold protests and raising slogans, he said.
