Puducherry govt failed to utilise Central funds: BJP

BJP today charged the Congress government here with "having failed" to utilise funds the Centre had earmarked for de-silting and deepening water bodies.
President of local unit of the BJP V Saminathan said in a release here today that although funds had been earmarked to Puducherry for improvement of the water bodies, the government had not used the allocation.
The BJP would stage a demonstration on March 26 to protest against the "inept" functioning of the government, he said.
