Puducherry government has drawn up a special scheme to train graduates passing out of arts and science colleges in the union territory to face job interviews by private enterprises and also multi-national companies.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy announced this during his address at the eighth convocation address of Bharathidasan Government College for Women (an autonomous institution) here today.
He said the scheme to train the graduates had been evolved involving an outlay of Rs three crores ever year.
"Our intention is to ensure that students of Arts and Science Colleges become employable and possessed excellent skills to successfully face interview boards," he said.
After implementation of the Goods and Services Tax across the country there was a rise in demand for posts of accountants, auditors and other non technical posts.
"We therefore want the graduates of Puducherry to emerge successfully at the interviews', he said.
