The revised plan would be launched by the end of this year, Chairman of PPA K S P Ramesh told reporters, adding, the plan would ensure orderly and regulated development of Puducherry.
He said that the PPA would use all the scientific planning tools for proper use of land.
He said that the first master plan relating to certain locations of Puducherry was prepared and implemented in 1982. This was revised subsequently in 2002 covering around 77 sq kms in Puducherry region.
The plan would take care of social and physical infrastructures relating to educational, health, ater supply and transportation and other basic amenities through a network of facilities, Ramesh said.
