Pune FC, the only team which has not lost a match so far, will be looking to keep their unbeaten run intact when they face Sporting Clube de Goa in the seventh round of the Airtel I-League here tomorrow.
Pune FC are unbeaten with 13 points from five matches, the same as Salgaocar FC and Bengaluru FC with a game in hand and are placed second behind Salgaocar on account of goal difference.
Calum Angus, who scored the lone goal for Pune's win in the last match against Rangdajied United FC, would be the one Pune FC will be banking on to score goals upfront.
Pune FC coach Mike Snoeie seemed happy the way his team was performing.
"Sporting is a good side and playing well. They have the home advantage and all we need is to remain focused and not be complacent if we are to remain unbeaten," said Snoeie.
Sporting too has had a smooth run so far and looked set for their fourth straight win to move at the top of the ladder before they were humbled by Mohammedan in their own den to remain fourth with 10 points from six matches.
The absence of Jovel Martins and Mackroy Piexote, still nursing injury, and striker Boima Karpeh - serving one match suspension after he received a red card in their last match - would make things difficult for Sporting FC.
Sporting coach Oscar Bruzon said they have a tough job in hand against in-form Pune team and need to play to their potential.
"The boys have learnt from their mistakes and look for the challenge tomorrow against Pune FC. It's going to be a close fight and hopefully we win tomorrow and end Pune FC unbeaten run to keep ourselves in the race among the title contenders," stated Bruzon.
