Punjab government is making use of popular social networking website Facebook for providing a common platform to schools of the state for sharing news on education.
The aim was to provide information regarding improvement in pedagogy, new education policies and activities regarding students, a spokesman of the Education Department said today.
The department has asked the schools to upload information, photos and videos of their activities on the website, he said, adding that this measure was undertaken to help all schools know about the work being done by their counterparts.
It was mandatory for the schools to associate with the account on the networking site, he said.
