Additional District Information Officer Gajay Singh said that programmes were organised in Loni, Murad Nagar, Bhojpur and Razapur blocks of the district from February 7 to 12.
The aim of the shows was to enlighten the villagers about free irrigation schemes such as canals and tube wells because of which 55 lakh cultivators in the state are getting benefits at a cost of Rs 500 crores per year to the state exchequer.
Farmers were also briefed about employment opportunities available to them in dairy industry under 'Kamdhenu yojna' and 'mini Kamdhenu yojna', Singh added.
