"I can just say that we must remain within our limits. Every country has to maintain its dignity, honor andsovereignty.
"It is understood by everybody and this happens in every country and democracy...If questions are raised on democracy and republic, then it becomes intolerable," the Minister of State in PMO told reporters when asked about the protests in the two varsities.
Singh also questioned Congress' stand on the JNU row and asked it to make it clear whether it supported "anti-India activities".
Asked what action will be taken against those who raised anti-India slogans, he said, "The administration will take appropriate actionas per the law of the land."
On the attack on journalists at a Delhi court, Singh said, "I think good sense will prevail on everybody."
He, however, parried a query on the formation of government in Jammu and Kashmir.
