The district administration has denied permission for the road show of in the city area , senior Congress leader Raj Kumar Rai said.
Officials have cited security concerns for denying permission, he said, adding SPG and others were still in contact with the authorities for the same.
He alleged the administration has taken this step under pressure of state government.
Meanwhile, Congress workers held a protest at the Collectorate alleging discrimination and demanding their leader's road show be allowed as per schedule.
