"The Special Judge, CBI cases, Dehradun, has convicted Ramvir Singh Solanki, then SSE, Railway, Kashipur, under section 7, 13(2) read with 13(1) (d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and sentenced him to seven years of Rigorous Imprisonment," CBI Spokesperson R K Gaur said here today.
He said the convict has also been slapped with Rs 40,000 fine.
Gaur said CBI had registered a case on a complaint against Solanki in which the complainant had alleged that he had demanded a bribe of Rs. 10,000 for clearing the final bill.
