Among other places in Punjab, Ludhiana recorded maximum rainfall at 103 mm while mercury settled at 27.5 deg C, Met office said here today.
Amritsar drenched with rain at 65 mm and maximum was recorded at 27.8 deg C, down by 6 notches below normal.
Patiala witnessed rainfall of 34 mm with mercury settling at 28.5 deg C, down by four degrees.
In Haryana, Ambala, Bhiwani and Hisar received rainfall at 5 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm while three districts had a high of 27.5 deg C, 32.8 deg C and 28.6 deg C respectively.
Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana had a high of 27.7 deg C with rainfall of 13 mm.
Met in its forecast said moderate to heavy rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places in Punjab and Haryana in next 48 hours.
