Rain showers bring humidity down in Delhi

With rain showers bringing down the mercury in the national capital, Delhiites today received respite from the humidity persistent since past many days.
The minimum temperature during the day settled at 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius, both normal for the season, a MeT official said.
Many parts in the national capital received rains over the past 24 hours, totalling to 5.8 mm till 8.30 in the morning.
Also, rain showers washed the city in the evening and 0.2 mm rain was recorded by 5.30 PM, the official said.
Various parts of the city including Palam (0.30 mm), Pusa(2.0 mm), Safdarjung (5.8 mm), Lodhi Road (7.0 mm) and Ayanagar(20.3 mm) received rain showers while others remained dry.

The humidity oscillated between 63 and 95 per cent.
The weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with light rains in many parts of the city over the next 24 hours.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius and 27.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
