Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal - Odisha coasts, a low pressure area has form over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. Associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 kms a. s. l. tilting southwestwards with height.
It is likely to become more marked during next 24 hrs. The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Ferozepur, Rohtak, Etawah, Fursatganj, Daltonganj, Jamshedpur, centre of low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood and thence east-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation at 0.9 km a. s. l. lies over south Haryana and neighbourhood. The east - west shear zone between 3.1 & 5.8 kms a. s. l. tilting southwards with height now runs roughly along Lat. 20N across central India. The cyclonic circulation at 5.8 kms a. s. l. over northeast Afghanistan and neighbourhood now lies over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood. System is likely to move east - northeastwards. However, the trough aloft roughly along Long. 68 E has moved away northeastwards. A cyclonic circulation at 7.6 kms a. s. l. lies over north interior Karnataka and neighbourhood.

A cyclonic circulation at 7.6 kms a. s. l. lies over southeast Arabian Sea off Kerala coast. The feeble offshore trough at mean sea level from Karnataka coast to south Kerala coast has become less marked.
The southwest Monsoon has been active over west Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, coastal & south interior Karnataka and Kerala. It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
